BENEFITS OF DOCUMENT
DESCRIPTION
The flow of the paper is divided into two sections. The first section throws light on the individual cultural aspects of the three countries such as geography, languages, food and etiquettes. The second section gives analysis of the intercultural aspects of the three countries under study. For the purpose of analysis Hofstede's Cultural Dimensions have been employed in the paper to examine as to what extent the countries differ in their ratings for these dimensions. Hofstede's used a large database on cultural aspects and analysed the similarities and differences in cultures through a multi-dimensional approach using five parameters namely, the power distance index, masculinity, individualism, uncertainty avoidance index and long term orientation. The paper discusses how the three countries under study fare on all these five dimensions.
